Aliens invade classroom

Some of the year 6 children had peculiar sight last week as the entered the Den. It looked like aliens had invaded! Newspaper reports on the incident to follow....

Rotary Quiz at Diss Junior School

Four children took part in the annual Rotary Quiz at Diss Junior School.  Kieran, Callum, Nathan and Christian worked together to answer questions on General Knowledge, children's literature, maths, history, geography and the Arts.

At the end Roydon were the winners and received a book token.  They progress to the next round in Harleston in a few weeks time.  Well done!

Democracy morning

In the last week of term we were lucky enough to learn all about democracy and how Britain became a democratic country.

We travelled through time learning how different kings, queens and important figures influenced our voting system today.

We had no idea King John, King Charles, Henry VIII and Guy Fawkes played such an important part in our voting system. Plus, how women fought so hard to get the vote.
